Literacy Kits
Literacy Kits contain multiple books on various reading levels, comprehension questions, and reading skill games to enjoy individually or with friends and family. Start at the beginning level of kits and progress through them all to improve reading fluency and comprehension.
Literacy Kit Levels:
- Red Kits
- Lexile level: BR 10-190 (suggested level for kindergarten)
- Orange Kits
- Lexile level: 190-530 (suggested level for first grade)
- Yellow Kits
- Lexile level: 420-650 (suggested level for second grade)
- Green Kits
- Lexile level: 520-820 (suggested level for third grade)
- Blue Kits
- Lexile level: 740-940 (suggested level for fourth grade)
- Purple Kits
- Lexile level: 830-1010 (suggested level for fifth grade)
Policies:
- Literacy Kits have a loan period of twenty-eight (28) days and 1 renewal.
- Literacy Kits are available at each library branch and must be returned to the circulation desk (not in bookdrop).
