Patrons have the ability to borrow fishing equipment from the library to use while exploring the scenic lakes and rivers we have at our disposal in Oconee County.

• South Bend® Neutron spincast combo
  • Two-piece 5'6" medium-action fiberglass rod with foam handle. Spincast (closed) reel pre-spooled with 8 lb. line. Thumb button to disengage line for casting; dial-adjustable drag; right-handed crank for retrieving line back into the spool.
• Zebco® 404 spincast combo
  • Two-piece 5'6" medium-action fiberglass rod with foam handle. Spincast (closed) reel pre-spooled with 15 lb. line; gear ratio 2.8:1. Thumb button to disengage line for casting; dial-adjustable drag; right-handed crank for retrieving line back into the spool.
• Zebco® Splash kids
  • One-piece combination fishing rod and reel. 2.5' fiberglass rod with plastic guides. Attached spincast (closed) reel pre-spooled with 6 lb. line; gear ratio 2.6:1. Plastic handle floats if dropped in water. Thumb button to disengage line for casting; dial-adjustable drag; right-handed crank for retrieving line back into the spool. Includes plastic casting practice plug.

• Fishing Kits are only available to Adult (18+) borrowers that reside in Oconee County and are in good standing.
• Fishing Kits have a loan period of fourteen (14) days and do not have the option of renewal.
• Fishing Kits are available at the Westminster branch circulation desk on a first come, first served basis.
