Welcome to the Library of Things, a collection of non-traditional, circulating library items that support our mission to inquire, connect, & discover. Browse each section to discover the Things we have available.
- Library of Things are only available to Adult (18+) borrowers that reside in Oconee County and are in good standing.
- A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check out.
- Good standing means that the borrower has fines of $5 or less. Those on payment plans are not considered to be in good standing.
- Reciprocal and Out-of-County borrowers do not have access to Library of Things items.
- Borrowers may only check out 1 Library of Thing per card ; 1 Launchpad per card (can be combined)
- Library of Things have a loan period of fourteen (14) days and do not have the option of renewal.
- Library of Things are available at each library branch on a first come, first served basis and MUST be returned to the original lending library circulation desk.
- Library of Things cannot be placed on hold.
- Cardholders are responsible for all materials checked out on their library card. In the event that an item is lost or not returned, charges will be applied to the cardholder’s library account for the value of the item. In the event that an item is damaged, the card holder will be charged for repairs or replacement of the item.
- Late fees are $1 per day and have a maximum fine of $14.
