How it works

No waitlists! Everything is instantly available.
Watch up to 5 movies a month. Films check out for 3 days, so once you press “play,” you have access for 72 hours.
Works on most devices, either through a browser or apps available for iOS, Android, Chromecast, Apple TV & Roku.
Credits reset at the beginning of the month. Access to Kanopy is free with your library card. (Patrons must have a card that allows them to check out videos from the library, and owe no more than $5 in fines/fees.)

The first time you use Kanopy, you will sign up with your name and a valid email address. The password is your library card number. You will receive an email that will ask you to re-verify your library card number. After your initial sign up, the user name is your email, and the password is your library card number.
