Requests and Interlibrary Loans
Requests for items not already owned by the library
The library will order bestsellers and most of the latest and popular DVDs, books, audio books, etc., so you may place your holds on your library account online, make a request at your local branch, or search our catalog here: https://ocl.tlcdelivers.com. Click “Log In” at the top right corner to access your account.
If there is an item that has already been published or released, but you don’t find in our catalog, please make a purchase consideration request at your local branch library. The library is pleased to accept purchase requests from patrons, but will not earmark those items for specific patrons until they are in the catalog, where holds may be placed according to normal library procedures.
Interlibrary Loans
If the Oconee County Library does not own a specific item and that item is more than 12 months old, the library may borrow it, if available, from another library outside the OCPL system. An ILL can be requested only for an adult patron whose card is in good standing and who owes NO fines. A maximum of 3 ILLs may be checked out to a patron at one time and they must be returned before any new requests can be made. A fee of 50¢ per day is charged for any late items and any lost or damaged ILLs are the responsibility of the patron.
